Edward W. Wertman joined The Chiurazzi Law Group in 2018. Mr. Wertman graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1993 where he was a member of Law Review and Phi Delta Phi honors fraternity. He earned his B.A. from Penn State University. Mr. Wertman concentrates his practice in area of civil litigation defense. He has represented numerous individuals, professionals, corporations, and organizations in a variety of disputes including general liability, commercial litigation, product liability, toxic torts, general negligence, medical malpractice defense and nursing home defense litigation. He also has experience in contract disputes, general corporate matters, and personal injury claims. Mr. Wertman has extensive trial experience, having tried numerous cases to verdict. He has served as an arbitrator and mediator for multiple courts. Edward has also acted as national counsel for various entities as well as overseeing risk management. Edward W. Wertman is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, U.S. District Court for Western and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and State of Oklahoma. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, Washington County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and Defense Research Institute.
Eddie is actively involved in his community. He coaches multiple youth sports activities and serves on various boards of local non-profit organizations. He has provided volunteer legal services for various organizations.
Kirsten E. Hannah joined the Chiurazzi Law Group as an intern in the summer of 2016, and has been practicing as an attorney with the firm since 2018. Her current practice areas include civil litigation matters such as personal injury cases, and estate administration. She is currently licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
In 2014, Ms. Hannah graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in English Literature with certificates in Medieval and Renaissance Studies and Public and Professional Writing. She received her Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law in 2018. During her time at Duquesne, Ms. Hannah’s student paper from her Law and Literature class was selected in 2017 as an Outstanding Student Paper recognizing “publishable quality.”
Ms. Hannah is originally from the Burgettstown area in Washington County, Pennsylvania, but currently resides in Pittsburgh’s Friendship neighborhood. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and taking walks around her neighborhood.
